US extends duty-free treatment for Israeli farm products until 2026
Trump also signed off on a series of technical adjustments to the US tariff schedule affecting multiple trade agreements.
The extension preserves long-standing benefits under the US-Israel Free Trade Agreement (USIFTA), originally signed in 1985 and enacted later that year, ensuring continued reciprocal trade concessions while permanent updates to a 2004 agricultural trade agreement are finalized, according to reports.
The administration noted that in December 2025, the US and Israel agreed to make permanent modifications to the 2004 agricultural trade framework and to temporarily maintain its terms while those changes are implemented. Consequently, specified Israeli agricultural goods will continue to enter the US market duty-free through December 31, 2026.
The proclamation also allows for updates to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) to implement technical corrections and align provisions with other trade agreements, including those with Singapore and South Korea, as well as rules tied to African trade preferences and recent tariff measures affecting the EU.
It supersedes any prior executive actions conflicting with its provisions and takes effect according to the dates listed in the annexes.
